Born in Hutchinson Kansas, during the dust bowl, Robert Bailey’s mom knew he was someone special. Presently at age 90, we see why this living artist has gone from WWII belly gunner to Chicago’s highest art scene.

Bob’s last public show occurred in 2008 at Ford Gallery, at Eastern Michigan University. The two-week long exhibit showcased art from throughout Robert Bailey’s career and gave a visual timeline of Bob’s ever-changing art.

Feel free to catch up with Bob here by viewing his movie from the Library of Congress, browse through images or listen to sound clips as he explains key moments throughout his life.

Let us know if you are a collector of his work and we can keep you informed. We have a blog where you can contribute your thoughts, reflections and questions or send e-mail to: kris@kcandy.com.

View art that has never been seen by the public eye. Enjoy drawings, paintings, computer art, lithography, sculpture, photography and painted ceramics pieces.
